For it all season, Guthrie presented a group of learners to medical care professions during a full-day Take Your Little girl and Son to Work Day program.
About 45 kids of Guthrie workers in the 7th through Twelfth qualities are welcomed each season to join in the program, such as around several divisions at John Packer Medical center, a scavenger search and other activities, said mature recruiting administrator Jane Master.
While the program took place specifically at RPH this season, kids of workers from across the Guthrie program were welcomed to be present at, Master said. Students came from local school regions and from as far away as the Elmira, Corning, Newark Area, Wyalusing and Scranton areas.
Groups of learners visited the Sayre university following a navigator morning meal with their parents and demonstrations by Guthrie staff. In each division - lab solutions, nutritional, radiology, medical, central handling, emergency vehicle solutions and work-related and physical rehabilitation - children discovered about the education required for each career and how each division plays a role in the daily functions of a medical facility.
The program gives children a window into medical care professions and also helps Guthrie to interest children in professions at the health program, particularly as demand for medical care workers is constantly on the increase, Master said.
