Definition for a Dry Eye Syndrome

Dry Eye Syndrome is affects most of the population older than 40 years of age and 25 to 35 million of people are affected due to this disease in america.

A thin layer of tears help to keep Eye and vision of a comfortable. This layer of tears is made up of 3 layers of this disease is a more common for a Women than in men.

The inner most layer is a thinnest and it is a layer of Mucus. Mucus helps keep a watery layer over the Eye and the middle layer is thick.

This layer is a Salt-Water solution for this layer keeps the Eye moist, comfortable and it also drains out the Dust in the Eye.

The upper layer is thin layer of Lipids consist of fats and oil the function of this layer is to a decrease the evaporation of Watery layer.
